Walks and treks throughout Cumbernauld's popular country park, Palacerigg plays host to a myriad of exotic rare breeds, Chickens that is, and sheep to be concise.
However, the park is in the shade to the bountiful & extended walks from the park around Fannyside Loch & along through woodlands, moors and grasslands that offer the intrepid explorer abundant wildlife, stunning scenery, beautiful trees, and local history.
The park, although very much dear to Cumbernauld has seen a demise in its popular variety of European animals such as the Lynx, Wallabies, Bison, Red & Arctic fox and Wolves, plus various birds of prey. It now hosts rare breeds in the way of Chickens & Sheep, with some controversy over why certain wildfowl like Peacocks & Chickens should be caged and on show.
